Health Screenings
Healthy students are better able to learn and participate in school. School health screenings are a valuable way to discover possible unknown health problems, such as hearing or vision issues, that may prevent the student from having their most successful school experience.
Each school year, McNairy County School students are screened in grades Pre-K, K, 2, 4, 6, and 8, as well as one grade in high school during their health wellness class. The students are screened for hearing, vision, blood pressure and BMI issues that may have an adverse impact on their learning or health. We follow guidelines set forth by the Tennessee Department of Education in regards to our screening process.
